The “customer”, “passenger”, “you”, or “your” shall mean the named person who places the order and, where appropriate, shall consist of all persons intending to travel on a charge.
Tira Travels provides booking services to all types of travel and leisure related activities.
Tira Travel’s booking Services are used to purchase Travel Services from third party suppliers and travel product and service providers, including (without limitation) coaches, cars, and rail or ferry operators, land carriers, hoteliers, tour operators, tour guides, travel agents, meal facilitators, or the providers of any other product or service, who provide Travel Services (Suppliers).
Tira Travels acts as your agent and is not the agent of any Supplier.
By accessing or using the Booking Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions, including the terms and conditions of any Suppliers of Travel Services.
You pay us for providing the Booking Services to you.
To avoid doubt, these Terms & Conditions apply to communications and/or orders made directly with our consultants, whether over the phone, by email, via social media/online chat, in-store, and to orders placed online via our website.
Upon purchasing Booking Services from us, the Supplier will provide you with the Travel Services on terms and conditions agreed between you and the Supplier (Supplier Terms).
Supplier Terms may be available with your booking information, available with the supplier or with us on your request. It may cover rules and restrictions about use and availability for products and services, refunds and cancellation details and the limitation or exclusion of liability on death, personal injury, delay and loss or damage to baggage. It is your own responsibility to obtain and read all the Supplier Terms.
At the time you place an order, you will be required to acknowledge and confirm that you have read and accepted all Terms & Conditions and you agree to the relevant Supplier Terms
By making the acknowledgement, you confirm that:
You are well aware of and adhere to any and all visa, passport, medical & health requirements of Sri Lanka or any other countries you hope to visit and responsible to obtain all required documentation or vaccinations before travel;
You should be 18 years old or older, and you must have the power, authority, and capacity to act on behalf of the other people on the trip or tour;
You agree to comply with the Terms & Conditions and Supplier Terms;
You understand that we may collect certain information about you and use and disclose such information as described in our Privacy Policy.(Include the link)
You need to acknowledge this statement before you can place the order. The information in personnel records will not be disclosed to any external organizations except for authorized purposes and with the consent of the person concerned. All personal information disclosure will occur with the account holder’s approval, where the information is necessary to prevent or lessen a death or injury or required by law.
Promotion on our website of a tour package offer does not constitute a legally binding offer. We have the right to change, modify, withdraw, extend, remove, or cancel the offer at any time.
These changes can include but are not limited to variances to published content relating to the tour package Offer, including the overview, the itinerary, the listed summary of tour inclusions and the important information sections. In addition, some or all of these changes may be subject to factors outside of Tira Travel’s control.
In any event of a material change in your itinerary, we will do our best to arrange you on a comparable or above standard. These changes will be communicated to affected customers.
Tira Travels and the Suppliers reserve the right to upgrade customers at their own discretion. Where an upgrade becomes available and required for logistical reasons, we will use a higher standard than that purchased. However, where the upgrade is not necessary to upgrade everyone, we will affirm customers will, a minimum, get the what they have agreed to at the time of purchase. Tira Travels will not compensate or refund customers who do not receive a complimentary upgrade.
All package offers listed on our website are highly competitive and available for a limited time only. As a result, we require full payment at the time of order placement. Payments are typically non-refundable.
Flexi payment-
Convenient payment method that our valued customers can use at the time of place the order. This method means you can pay half of your total amount display at the checkout and remain 50% at the arrival of the Sri Lanka airport lobby to our authorized team member.
The currency of the published price of the travel package is in United States dollars. (USD). The published prices of the tour package include all Sri Lankan taxes, charges and service fees. All package prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice.
Payment can be made with a credit card, debit card or bank transfer. Please note that your order is not secured until the funds clear into our account if paying by bank transfer.
Some additional extras and/or surcharges may be payable after order placement, as specified in the important information section on the Tira home page. The price payable is also subject to many other factors, including any customizations and additions made by you, changes to travel arrangements, currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, government taxes and levies. We reserve the right to change any fees, charges or prices as necessary to reflect a material cost increase being greater than 10% of the tour package.
We hold the right not to honour any published prices if we determine that they were erroneous due to printing, clerical or electronic error, except in the case of manifest error by us.
We are not obliged to refund you to match any subsequent price reduction after order placement in any price decrease.
Tour packages are typically promoted as a base ‘per person’ price based on twin share travel where one order quantity is valid for one person. A quantity of 1 needs to be selected on order placement for every person travelling twin share on the same order.
Immediately following payment in full or partial, the customer will receive an order confirmation by email and/or at account login via our website.Please make sure you read this order confirmation carefully. Most of our travel offers require you to submit an online passenger information form within 72 hours to complete your booking.
For all tour package offers to require key passenger information to start the booking process. These details are needed to confirm all tour package itineraries & booking confirmations, accommodation rooming specifications, and/or medical , mobility requests.
As such, most bookings will require submitting an online passenger information form within 72 hours of order placement for all persons travelling. Your Passenger Information Form will be provided with your order confirmation and can also be accessed on your account login via our website. Tira Travels will use reasonable endeavours to provide email reminders to complete the Passenger Information Form and provide passport details. The information given in the Passenger Information Form must be accurate and final at the time of submission. In addition, the Passenger Information Form will need the traveller’s name with date of birth details to be provided as per the passport to be used at the time of travel.
The details given in the Passenger Information Form are directly input into our booking system. Fees and charges related to correcting errors in a Passenger Information Form will be the passenger’s responsibility. Fees & charges are based on the Suppliers fare rules, cancellation and change policies relating to the booking at the time. Costs can include more of the following, any fare difference at the time, full cancellation and the cost of new fares (should changes not be permitted), Suppliers change/reissue fees as well as Tira Travels change fee.
An order will not be considered final till the Passenger Information Form is returned for all persons intending to travel as specified. Following Tira Travels receiving the Passenger Information Form, Tira Travels can and will begin the reservations process. However, should customers seek to make voluntary changes after the reservation process has started, all changes are subject to availability, the fees listed on the tour package, and any difference in fares at the time the request is made.
Please ensure all customers have a valid international passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of return and at the time of travel. Passenger must submit the Passenger Information Form within 72 hours from order placement.
In the Passenger Information Form, you will need to check and confirm that all information is correct as it cannot be changed later without incurring additional fees.
Tira Travels reserves the right to cancel all or part of any order(s) in the instance where the Passenger Information Form is not returned within the specified period. Tira Travels will not be
liable for any expenses, fines, penalties, costs, liabilities, damages, or losses that arise due to failure to comply with the order placement requirements listed on the tour package or order completion instructions mentioned on your tour confirmation. Where an order is declined due to noncompliance with the Online Passenger Information Form submission deadline.
The final stage of the booking process is Tira Travel’s delivery of tour documentation with respect to the tour package purchased. The tour documentation contains important information, such as confirmed accommodation and tour itineraries. Tira Travels shall use reasonable commercial endeavours to provide the travel documentation 4-6 weeks prior to the core tour departure date selected. An estimated tour documentation delivery date will be listed on your Order Confirmation.
It’s your liability to check all of your tour documentation, together with but not restricted to passenger names and dates of birth according to the passport to be used at the time of the tour, flight tickets, cabin check-in instructions, baggage allowances, departure/arrival dates and time, hotel accommodation/stopover details, visas and insurance requirements/documents immediately upon receipt and advise Tira Travel as soon as possible of any errors or if any changes required.
Tira Travels is authorised to commence the booking process for all customers on the order upon return of the Passenger Information Form. At this time, all order components are considered final. A change request is made after submitting the Passenger Information Form. The request will be subject to availability and will incur change administration fees.
Changes can include but are not limited to accommodation upgrades, bedding and rooming configuration requests, or any request to correct information already provided on the Passenger Information Form.
Requests for changes other than post-purchase payments specified in the important information section on the home page will not be guaranteed.
Change administration fees can include but are not limited to accommodation booking reissue fees, any price differences relating to the change in option originally selected by the customer at the time of purchase and Tira Travel change fees.
Once the Passenger Information Form has been returned, there will be no changes allowed.
All tour packages published on our website are heavily discounted and available for a limited time only. As such, our tour packages are non-refundable except in accordance with our Cancellation and Refund Policy. Refunds for tour packages are subject to the terms and conditions that you agreed with the Suppliers. All orders are considered non- transferable or changeable without cost and subject to availability once the passenger information form has been submitted.
All proposed cancellations must be communicated to Tira Travels as soon as they become known and must be validated and authorised by Tira Travels.

Because we only provide you with the Booking Services and you pay us for the Booking Services, we are liable to you in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
Our involvement with you is the booking services, and our liability to you is strictly limited to the booking services. We represent as your agent in performing the booking services to acquire Travel Services from the Suppliers. Therefore, we do not provide the Travel Services set out on our website which Suppliers provide.
Tira Travels reserves the right to vary, withdraw or cancel any tour packages by written notice in the event they cannot be supplied or the itinerary is changed due to a Force Majeure Event or other events which are beyond our control.
To the highest extent permitted by law, except where caused or contributed to by negligence on our part, We at Tira Travel accept no responsibility for any injury, illness, death, cost, loss, damage (including but not limited to loss or damage to persons, baggage and property), delay, diversion, the substitution of equipment, variation, postponement of travel arrangements, liability, expense or inconvenience arising directly or indirectly from or in connection with:
the acts, default, omissions, errors or negligence of suppliers or third parties such as government authorities, hoteliers,land carriers, coach,rail, airlines or any other suppliers, nor for any consequences thereof, including but not limited to changes to or lack of services, accommodation or facilities;
a Force Majeure Event.
If such events occur, we will make our best efforts to avoid or limit any adverse effects they may have on you.
To the highest extent permitted by law, Tira Travel is not and does not accept responsibility or liability for any acts, defaults, omissions, errors or negligence of any person who is not its direct employee or below its authority, including (without limitation) any government or authority, officer or employee, and also inclusive any employees, officers or agents of any supplier such as coach, rail, or ferry operators, or any other transport providers, hoteliers or other accommodation providers, land carriers, tour operators, tour guides, travel agents, or the providers of any other meals, facilities, goods and travel products or services on your holiday or concerning it and over whom Tira Travel has no control. Further, Tira Travel is not and does not accept responsibility for any criminal conduct by any third parties.
To the highest extent permitted by law, Tira Travel is not and does not take on responsibility or liability for any requirements, conditions & terms of any supplier or other third parties who provide some travel products or services during your holiday. All bookings made by us with suppliers or other travel product or service providers on your behalf are subject to the requirements, terms and conditions of those persons which may not be expressly the subject of our contractual agreement, particularly in relation to the applicable laws, policies and requirements of any government, governmental authority or employee including visa, entry, exit or transit requirements.
If, during your travel, you occupy a transport seat fitted with a safety belt, Tira Travel is not and does not accept liability for injury, illness, death or other loss, damage or claim arising from any incident or accident where the safety belt is not being worn correctly at the time of any incident or accident.
Tira Travel is not and does not accept any liability or responsibility for your acts, omissions, defaults, conduct, condition of health, disease or circumstances, or failure to comply with the terms, conditions and requirements of any Suppliers or other third- party travel products or suppliers, or country or governmental authorities, or any of their officials, servants or agents.
Suppose you decide that you do not wish to visit a country or part of a country you had intended to visit because of any law, condition or requirements of Suppliers or any government or governmental authority, official, servant or agent, or because of circumstances beyond our control (and including any Force Majeure Event). In that case, you are responsible for any costs, expenses, charges, fees, losses or damage incurred as a consequence and any cancellation or amendment fees.
Concerning any responsibility or liability which cannot be excluded by law or despite the limitations above, if Tira Travels is found responsible for any loss, damage, cost, liability or expense which arises out of or in any way is connected with any of the occurrences described above, then to the maximum extent permitted by law Tira Travels liability will in no event exceed, in the aggregate, the greater of;
The amounts you paid to Tira Travels in connection with the Booking Services; or
USD 100.
All customers must possess appropriate physical, medical or other fitness requirements that deem them good enough to travel. It’s your duty to ensure that you’re aware of any specific health requirements for your travel destination prior to order placement and be responsible for.
Is there anything in your medical history that might prevent you from carrying or using prohibited medications and/or medical/mobility equipment (including batteries concerning flights) and require you to provide supporting medical documentation such as prescriptions.
Please be advised that Sri Lanka has introduced an online visa system for all travelers. Visitors must apply for the Electronic Travel Authorization via http://www.eta.gov.lk, (add link) established in the Department of Immigration and Emigration. You will have to pay a small fee for this document.
The cost is US$35 as a standard for all countries for processing the visa prior to arrival. For South Asian (SAARC) countries the cost will be US$20.
There is no charge for children under the age of 12, but they do need to have a visa.
You can obtain a visa at the airport of arrival, but it will cause long delays, as well as a visa surcharge.
Please be advised that we do not handle visa applications for onward travel to countries that require pre-arranged visas, such as India. Therefore, passengers with tickets routed through India are advised to obtain an Indian transit visa. Please check with your ticketing company for more information.
Sri Lanka Immigration and Emigration approves the purpose for which you state you’ll enter Sri Lanka.
You hold a passport valid for at least six months from the day you arrive in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka Immigration and Emigration are satisfied that you have adequate funds for your maintenance whilst in Sri Lanka.
If you leave the country, you’ll get a written assurance (ticket) to return to the country of domicile or a visa to the next country of destination if you are a visit visa holder.
You should not engage in any form of employment, paid or unpaid, or in any trade or business other than that specified in the visa.
You’ll need to use your visa within the time frame authorized.
If you don’t use your visa to enter Sri Lanka before the date of expiry, it will be cancelled.
All applications for visa extension should be made to the Department of Immigration and Emigration.

Tira Travel has a strict Cancellation and Refund Policy. You should take out comprehensive travel insurance as soon as you purchase Travel Services. You can purchase a comprehensive policy to help protect yourself and other persons intending to travel from unforeseen circumstances.
Each tour package will list its specific order validity details in the important information section of the deal home page. High season surcharges, solo supplement options (where applicable) and the number of adults and/or children the offer is valid for if you purchase a quantity of 1 (subject to rooming configurations). Tour packages are valid only for the confirmed travel date selected, and once the chosen travel date has passed, the order will be considered void and is non-refundable in full or in part if unused.
Tira Travel reserves the right to modify, change, extend, or withdraw published accommodation terms concerning the tour package at any time due to changes beyond our control.
For example, technical or administrative reasons for an accommodation provider may mean that a substitute hotel or room needs to be provided.
Accommodation, including hotel descriptions, are based on current guides provided by Suppliers. Any facilities described are subject to change at any time. We have made reasonable inquiries to verify that the descriptions and details are accurate, but to the maximum extent permitted by law do not warrant the accuracy of such information. Please note that standard hotel check-in is after 13: 00 HRS and check out at 12.00 HRS
Customers are responsible for their personal belongings at all times, and Tira Travell does not accept any liability for any loss or theft, destruction of any personal belongings or luggage. Any loss, theft or damage must be taken up directly with the supplier and/or reported to your insurer. Customers are expected to carry their luggage or at least be travelling with someone who can assist them. Should you require any assistance with luggage during travel, it will be at your own cost as hotel porterage is not included unless clearly listed on the tour package.
Tour packages often list prices based on twin shares, where two people will be sharing a room. For some vacation package deals, if you intend to book a single room and therefore will not be sharing your accommodations with another traveler, a single supplement fee may be required. In this instance, a mandatory solo surcharge is payable at the time of place your order on website. Tira Travels does not offer or provide a room pairing service.
For all our travel packages, the airport to the hotel and/or hotel to airport transfers are listed as an inclusion as per the specific tour package. Transfer is typically a smaller coach or vehicle and in some cases, airport and hotel arrival and departure transfers will combine multiple travel groups. This is dependent on airline scheduling and airport ground transport requirements.
